Truly a "hands on, hands in" class! Pinch, push, and shape potter’s clay into a variety of fun pieces. Projects will range from functional cups and bowls to animals and abstract sculptures. Supplies are included.

Craft Guild Experience

Pet Parade

We love our pets and they love us! Many different animals can be pets and give us wonderful inspiration for fun, and even useful, projects. For example, in this camp, along with other projects, we'll make a special pet themed bowl and a personalized portrait of our pet friend.

Craft Guild Experience

The ultimate camp adventure for the most curious, creative spirits interested in multiple mediums. Experience all of the art disciplines the Craft Guild offers continuously for adults. Projects will include clay, glass, painting, bookbinding, and more. Supplies are included.

Different projects will be presented in the morning and afternoon classes of weeks 1 and 7 so a student may wish to sign up for both and make it an all day camp. If students elect to do so they must also choose the lunch option with the morning class.

For week 4 pack and bring a lunch each day as the class is structured for students to stay all day. Supplies are included.

Fun With Fabric

Dye it, weave it, felt it! Discover and learn techniques fiber artists and textile designers use to manipulate fibers and fabrics. 2D and 3D pieces will be created. Supplies are included.

Mixed Media and Glass Arts

Learn how to experiment and combine wire, wood, glass, clay and other media, as students explore glass fusing, mosaic design and other glass methods to make a variety of art pieces from start to finish. Projects include a glass/wood box, mixed media sculpture, and other fun projects.  Supplies are included.

Discover and explore glass fusing techniques and mosaic designs to create unique glass pieces.  Choosing from a variety of colorful glass shapes, your student will make decorative and functional objects, such as window ornaments, fused glass dishes, and wearable jewelry.  Supplies are included.

Drawing

Learn to draw, beginning with simple shapes. As the week progresses, more complicated subjects will be introduced. A variety of media, such as charcoal, pencil, and pastels will be used. Inspiration will come from life. Supplies are included.

Watercolor

Learn techniques to work with watercolor in both abstract and representational artwork. Impress your family and friends with hand-painted cards, as well as larger paintings to hang on the wall. Drawing skills are not required for this class. Supplies are included.

Acrylic Painting

Explore the basics of painting with acrylic paint.  Your child won't even realize they are learning color theory and the principles of design!  Fun projects include a self-portrait, still life, landscape and abstract art.

Reuse, Repurpose, Recreate

Have fun from using repurposed objects to create whimsical artworks. Projects will range from useful objects like hanging light fixtures to decorative pieces such as a stained glass window. Supplies are included.

A very unique art form - bookbinding! Learn how to make books for sketching and writing. The complete process of putting a book together, from sewing in the pages to making book covers, will be taught. Wonderful materials such as cloth, beautiful marbleized papers, leather, and other decorative options will be used. Supplies are included.

Design and fabrication techniques will be taught and demonstrated while creating complex wearable jewelry and art projects. Cut, shape, hammer, texture, solder, and patina various metals. . Students repeating this camp will have the opportunity to practice and advance their design skills; projects will vary. Supplies are included.

 Oil Painting

Manipulate colorful oil paints into impressive works on canvas. Learn color mixing, composition, and value to paint both abstract works and realistic subjects. Work on your own level with individualized attention from the instructor. Supplies are included.

Throwing on the Wheel

Learn techniques of shaping clay into decorative and functional pottery, using the potter's wheel. Finish by trimming and painting your thrown pieces. Experienced students are welcome to continue to improve their skills. Supplies are included.

Printmaking

Unique opportunity to explore and learn the methods and processes of printmaking techniques, including silkscreening and linoleum block printing. Bring your original designs to work with multiple colors to make limited editions of your images. Supplies are included.
