AFTER SCHOOL OPPORTUNITIES

Young artists, ages 8-18, are invited to join us after school to create in our professionally equipped studios.  Students will be guided by knowledgeable, professional instructor artists.  Classes can vary, so please check the schedule for current offerings.

Y400a  Pottery Fun for Young Artists (ages 8-18) Curtsinger Wed. Jan 9 to Feb 27  4:30pm to 6:30 pm $196.00

Join this class to make fun, fabulous projects in clay.Kids can try out the potters wheel, as well as learn all the fun ways to work with clay using handbuilding techniques such as pinching, coiling, slabs, and sculpting! Both functional objects like cups, plates and bowls as well as sculptural projects like low relief and 3D projects will be offered. Emphasis is on fun and whimsey is welcome! An apron is recommended if parents are concerned about clay on clothing and closed toed shoes are required in the studios. All tools and supplies provided.

Y500a Glass Fusing for Young Artists (ages 8-18) Morrison Thur. Jan 10 to Feb 28  4:00pm to 6:00pm $196.00

Explore glass fusing and mosaic design to make a variety of glass pieces. Use colorful glass shapes to create decorative and functional objects including window ornaments, fused glass dishes, and wearable jewelry.  All tools and supplies provided.

SUMMER CAMP OPPORTUNITIES

The Craft Guild offers a robust summer camp program for 10 weeks each year for artistic spirits.  Morning and afternoon "camps", taught by professional artists, provide multiple opportunities to explore and experience creating art in various media such as glass, clay, bookbinding, metal, and painting.
