This class focuses on drawing portraits of people. We will develop a basic understanding of facial anatomy and proportions and learn techniques to create expressive likenesses. Both monochromatic and color media will be explored.
Suggested supplies: soft vine and compressed charcoal (not Soho brand), white charcoal pencil, Caran DAche Neocolor I or II wax pastels, kneaded eraser, Panpastel black, Sofft tool, proportion divider, workable fixative spray, 18 x 24" Drawing pad.
