This class combines glass and an open flame (bench mounted torch) to make unique glass items (beads, small sculptures, etc.) using soft glass. All levels are included from beginning bead makers to more advanced students who want to increase their knowledge, improve their skills. Areas covered will be: basic bead making, decorations (frit, stringers, dots) up to encasing, fuming, and more. Must wear cotton clothing and closed toe shoes. Supply fee: $60 for beginner tool/glass kit.

In this class stained glass students will learn the basics for making beautiful leaded and stained-glass panels. A $60 stained glass supply fee will be paid to the instructor. Fused glass artists are welcome to work on the project of their choosing.

Have you ever needed more time to finish that project you started in class? Or time to work on something new you wanted to try…or just some extra time to complete some of those unfinished projects you have sitting around the house? The Glass Department is opening up the Wednesday classes to allow both fusers and lampworkers to have time to work on their own projects. There will be a studio monitor present but no instructor and everyone will need to bring their own tools and supplies (glass may be purchased from studio monitor). This time is for the entire session, not on a drop-in basis. Int/Adv students only.
