There is a saying "Value does all the work, color gets all the credit". This is certainly true, for without a solid understanding of value, your colors will fall apart. In this workshop you will focus on how to simplify what you see into just five values.We will discuss concepts of the value scale, notan (simplified patterns of light and shadow), and getting the light effect. We will then do a series of value studies where you apply these concepts to working from life. Note: This will be a painting workshops.
