Fine silver clay, is silver in clay form. Texturing, shaping and finishing are done in the wet and dry stages. There is no sanding or sawing of sheet metal. Students will learn how to roll clay, add texture, cut the earrings and torch fire using a simple kitchen torch. After just two minutes of torching, the binder in the clay burns away, leaving solid metal fine silver earrings. While the earrings are tumbling to a high shine, students will learn about the different types of metal clay and the possibilities they offer.
